WWII-era U.S. Navy officer’s visor cap – Named, Size ~7-3/8

$49.95

This is a WWII-era U.S. Navy officer’s visor cap belonging to Lieutenant (junior grade) Charles T. Morbeck, who served aboard the USS LST 476. Manufactured by Boston Tailors & Clothiers, a known naval outfitter in San Pedro, California, this cap features a khaki crown, a black mohair band, and a gold bullion chinstrap secured by eagle-inscribed buttons. The cap badge displays the United States Navy officer’s insignia with an eagle, a shield, and crossed anchors.

The cap is heavily used, showing signs of wear, staining, and some breakdown in the interior lining. The visor retains its original black patent leather but has noticeable aging. The identification label inside the crown verifies ownership, adding significant historical value for collectors, especially those interested in naval history, LST (Landing Ship, Tank) vessels, or named artifacts.
